INTRODUCTION
Welcome to MJ Travel Group & Events, Inc. (“MJ Travel Group,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By booking with us, submitting payment, or using our services or website, you (“client,” “traveler,” or “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
We work with multiple trusted travel suppliers and vendors to find you the best available travel options. Because of this, all bookings are subject to both MJ Travel Group’s policies and the terms and conditions of our suppliers, including but not limited to airlines, hotels, cruise lines, and tour operators.
We highly recommend that all clients read and understand these Terms & Conditions, along with any vendor or supplier terms before confirming travel.
RESERVATIONS & DEPOSITS
All reservations require a non-refundable deposit to secure your booking. No travel arrangements will be confirmed until a deposit is received. Deposits vary depending on the vendor and type of trip. Reservations must be made in the full legal name of each traveler as it appears on their passport or government-issued ID. Clients are responsible for all name change fees after travel documents have been issued. Reservations can be made by visiting www.mjtravelgroupevents.com, calling 888-959-9401
PAYMENTS
Payments are accepted through Travel Joy and other approved vendor payment systems. We accept major credit cards and online bank transfers.
All final payments are due 60–90 days prior to departure, depending on vendor requirements. Failure to make payments on time may result in automatic cancellation of your reservation without refund.
Due to COVID-19 and fraud prevention, cash payments are not accepted.
REFUNDS
Except for limited circumstances, all payments made to MJ Travel Group & Events are non-refundable and non-transferable.
This policy exists because MJ Travel Group & Events maintains binding contracts with hotels, airlines, and other vendors that do not permit refunds after payment. These agreements allow us to offer competitive pricing and flexible payment plans.
If a refund is available from a supplier, it will be processed according to that supplier’s policies and timelines, generally within 30 days or sooner once approved by accounting.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must be submitted in writing using the official MJ Travel Group & Events Cancellation Form.
MJ Travel Group & Events will charge a $125 per person cancellation fee, in addition to any vendor-imposed cancellation penalties, to cover administrative work performed on your file.
All vendor and airline cancellation fees are the responsibility of the client. Refunds, if any, will follow supplier policies and timelines.
CHANGES & REINSTATEMENTS
Any name changes, reservation reinstatements, or rebookings are subject to both vendor fees and MJ Travel Group administrative fees. These fees vary based on the vendor and stage of travel documentation.
TRAVEL INSURANCE PROTECTION
We strongly encourage all clients to purchase travel insurance immediately after booking to protect their investment.
Travel insurance helps provide coverage for:
- Trip cancellation or interruption
- Trip delay or missed connection
- Emergency medical expenses or evacuation
- Lost or delayed baggage
Clients should review the terms of their chosen insurance policy carefully. Not all plans cover COVID-19 or “cancel for any reason” (CFAR) events. CFAR coverage is time-sensitive and usually must be purchased within 14–21 days of your initial deposit.
MJ Travel Group & Events is not an insurance provider. Any claims must be filed directly with your insurance company.
AIRLINE POLICIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Airline tickets are issued according to each carrier’s fare rules and restrictions. Once paid and ticketed, airfare is non-refundable and non-transferable, unless otherwise specified by the airline.
Airlines may:
• Change flight schedules, aircraft, or routing without notice.
• Cancel or delay flights for weather, mechanical, or operational reasons.
• Modify baggage fees, policies, or seat assignments at any time.
MJ Travel Group & Events has no control over airline operations and is not responsible for cancellations, delays, or additional costs resulting from airline actions.
Travelers are responsible for:
• Confirming flight details with the airline at least 24 hours prior to departure (72 hours for international).
• Arriving at the airport on time for check-in and boarding.
• Providing accurate contact details to receive airline updates.
• Complying with all baggage policies and fees.
In the event of airline changes, MJ Travel Group will assist in rebooking according to airline guidelines, but any additional costs are the traveler’s responsibility.
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Clients agree to:
• Provide accurate personal information including names, birth dates, and passport details.
• Make timely payments and meet all payment deadlines.
• Review and comply with vendor and airline policies.
• Read and understand all MJ Travel Group and supplier terms and conditions.
• Ensure all passports, visas, and travel documents are valid and current.
• Follow all health and vaccination requirements for the destination.
• Submit all cancellations and change requests in writing using the proper forms.
• Purchase travel insurance to cover unexpected events.
Failure to comply with these responsibilities may result in denied services or additional costs for which MJ Travel Group & Events is not liable.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
MJ Travel Group & Events acts solely as an agent for airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, and other service providers. We do not own, operate, or control any of these suppliers and therefore are not responsible for their acts, omissions, or performance.
We are not liable for:
• Injury, illness, loss, or damage to persons or property.
• Delays, cancellations, or changes due to weather, strikes, acts of God, or government actions.
• Additional expenses or losses resulting from circumstances beyond our control.
Travelers acknowledge that travel involves inherent risks and agree to release MJ Travel Group & Events from all liability arising from such risks.
GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be handled exclusively in the appropriate courts located in Texas.
